Our purpose is actually in our widespread set of ideas when creating moving image artworks. To quote our mission statement: "In our future creations we shall honour our diversity in a unified way to forge new directions, utilising our multiformity and global locations as a force that supports, challenges, and invigorates UMA, whilst celebrating our individual creativities to effect the development of art in the 21st century."

The subject heading for the set of 3 exhibitions is Anima Mundi, or in English, Soul of the world) The term Anima Mundi originates in ancient Greek philosophy, notably Plato's Timaeus, as a concept for the universe's organizing spirit, translating the Greek psychē
tou kosmou to explain the world's life and interconnectedness. It suggests the cosmos is a living being with a soul, binding all matter and life through a single spiritual force, influencing Stoicism, Neoplatonism, and later mystical traditions like alchemy and Jungian psychology, fulfilling a human need to see the world as intrinsically connected and alive.
